Using Voicemail (AUDIX)
If you are a new teacher to a room, the first time you attempt to access your voice mail you will need to create a password and a greeting. Once you have created your password and greeting, your mailbox is set-up.
How to create individualized mailbox
- Dial 8399 (this is audix) or 231-8399 if you are not in a school building.
- The voice of audix will prompt you through many steps.
- Audix will ask you…..
- "Enter your extension and pound sign"
- If you are at your phone location you can enter just the 1plus # sign here.
- If you are not at your phone location, enter your phone extension then the pound sign. (6712#)
- "Enter your password and pound sign #"
- Enter the 1 plus # sign – without a password. (this is only when creating your mailbox)
- Audix will now want you to "Enter your name"(not your message) 1. Press 1, speak your name, then press 1 again.
- Audix will ask you to "Enter a Password" (must be 6 digits) 1.
- Enter your own password, then the # sign (you are the only one who will have this information, so please write it down or use something easy for you to remember)
- E. Audix will then ask you to "Administer personal greetings" (this is where you put your message)
- Press 3 for personal greetings
- Press 1 to create the greeting, speak,
- Then press 1 for all calls
- Then press # to activate.
- "Do you want to continue"
- Just press # to finish.
- "Enter your extension and pound sign"
The next time you enter Audix you will merely access your voicemail box using your extension and the 6 digit password you created.
How to access and listen to your voicemail
- Dial 8399 (this is audix) or 231-8399 if you are not in a school building. The voice of audix will prompt you through many steps. Listen carefully!
- Audix will ask you to: Enter your extension number and the # sign. . . example: 6712 then dial the # sign.
- Audix will ask you to: Enter your password example: 12345 then the # sign.
- Listen to audix as she gives you choices. She will walk you through the steps of retrieving your voicemail.
How to clear the extension identification voice
- Dial 8399
- Enter your extension number …
- Enter your password…
- Press 5
- It will give you several options, choose 5 again and it will ask you to “record your name”. (This is the identification of the extension the dialer has reached – not your “I’m not in” message.)
Using Trunk Lines
Sr. High, Willmar Middle School, Roosevelt, Kennedy, Lakeland, WCER and WEAC, are all interconnected. To call anyone in the above listed buildings, you only need to dial the last four digits of their phone number.
