The state of Minnesota is implementing the new Summer EBT program in summer 2024. The Summer EBT program is for eligible households with school-aged children.

It will provide $40/month per child ($120 total) during the summer months to purchase healthy food. These funds will be placed on new EBT cards, which will be issued to each eligible student by the state. These are expected to be sent out in July.
Each eligible student will get a new S-EBT card. Keep this card.

If your students are approved for Free/Reduced meals by 8/31/2024, they will automatically be enrolled in this program. No action is needed.
If not currently qualified or would like to apply for benefits, please fill out an application by August 31, 2024 by clicking on the following link: https://www.willmar.k12.mn.us/Page/2701
The first round of cards will be mailed in July 2024.

Please contact Willmar Public Schools if you feel your child has been incorrectly certified for Summer EBT or if you do not want to receive Summer EBT.
More information is to come as is available.
