Information from the Willmar Continuing Education Committee

The Continuing Education Committee has taken over for Mike Norberg, who retired this past summer. It consists of 6 teachers, a community member, and an administrator. The committee met on several occasions last year and is meeting every month this school year. 

Tim Uhlenkamp and Jess Scheevel are co-chairs of the committee. Any questions or concerns about relicensure and continuing education can be sent to ceu@willmar.k12.mn.us

The committee has decided to use an online platform called Proserva to collect continuing education units from teachers instead of sending paper copies through interschool mail. Please make sure you have access to Proserva.

It is important to have your Proserva account activated because the committee will be bulk-uploading hours for back-to-school workshop week and professional development days that are put on by the Willmar School District. If you have already submitted hours for these days, they will be denied initially and resubmitted with the bulk upload. Please do not be alarmed.

More information regarding how to use Proserva and upload hours for specific categories such as Cultural Competency or Mental Illness will be coming soon.
