Continuing Education

 

The continuing education committee is made up of a group of teachers, 1 community member, and an administrator.  The committee meets once a month to discuss various processes and procedures, approve recorded CEU hours, and, during the new year, approve licensure renewal submissions.

Important Information:

  • Proserva has replaced sending paper copies of CEUs to Mike Norberg at WEAC.
    • The data collected through Proserva is uploaded to PELSB.
       
  • PELSB is the Minnesota Professional Education Licensing and Standards Board.
    • This is where you go to apply for and pay for your license.
       
  • The committee is adding CEU hours on Proserva for the Back-to-School Week only.
    • Each day is worth 7 hours.
    • No mandatory required areas will be included - just the hours.
       
  • The certificate you submit MUST include your name.
     
  • Please highlight important information on the certificate.
    • This is VERY important for college transcripts.
       
  • IF THE COLLEGE COURSE DOESN’T CLEARLY STATE A REQUIRED AREA, 
    • The description box MUST be completed.
       
  • Personal reflection statements are needed for ELL & Cultural Competency.
    • The personal reflections are assumed if taken through a college course, ED MN (Union) course, and Read Act Trainings (ELL only).
       
  • Cultural Competency must be at least 4 hours.
     
  • Please try to complete only ONE submission for each required area.
    • Even if you have multiple certificates.

  • Professional development and back-to-school workshop hours will NOT be bulk-uploaded for you.
