American Indian Education Program

 

 The purpose of the program is to strengthen and promote positive experiences and educational outcomes for American Indian students.  

 

The following are FREE services offered to Willmar students enrolled in the American Indian Education Program.  Students who identify as American Indian are eligible to participate in the program.  

 

  • Access to Native American authored literature for students and families
  • Opportunities for PreK-5 students to participate in small group sessions focused on literacy, cultural connections, and positive self-image
  • Mentoring for secondary students - Check and Connect Program
  • College Visits
  • Information for post-secondary planning (financial aid/scholarships) 
  • Seasonal events for the entire family
