WSHS Excellence in Education Banquet - The 27th Annual Excellence in Education Banquet will be held at 6 p.m. on
     Wednesday, May 26, at the Willmar Holiday Inn and Conference Center.  This year’s featured speaker will be
     1974 alumnus, Dr. Dale J. Fixsen.  Dr. Fixsen is a research scientist at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt,
     Maryland.

PROM TICKETS will be sold April 26-29 during lunches.  Prom tickets are $25 for WSH students and $35 for out of
     district guests.
POST PROM - Tickets will be sold April 26-29 during lunches.  Cost $15.00 in advance or $16.00 at the door.  We
     have several reminders from the post prom committee - Most students wear comfortable clothes to post prom. 
     However, you can wear your formal wear.  Handbags and backpacks will be searched if brought to post prom. 
     Absolutely no outside beverages will be allowed including water, pop, coffee, etc.  All beverages are provided.
2010-2011 STUDEDNT COUNCIL APPLICATION - If you are interested in running for next year’s council, pick up an
     interest form in the main office.
CARDETTE TRYOUTS - Girls interested in either Fall or Winter Cardettes must attend tryouts on Monday, May 3, from
     5:00-8:30 at the middle school.  If you have any questions, please contact Heather Carruthers.

     next fall you must attend one of these meetings.  Important information regarding the summer football schedule
     will be discussed.

POST PROM - Tickets will be sold April 26-29 during lunch block.  Cost $15.00 in advance; $16.00 at the door.  Most

5K RUN FOR RELIEF - The student council is sponsoring a 5k walk/run to benefit the people of Haiti.  The event will

     rooms in the Midwest Technology Center cafeteria.  Prairie Woods ELC is also hosting an Earth Day celebration

Off season weight training - starts at 2:50 p.m. on Mon., Nov. 16, for all 10th and 11th grade football players.  
     You will be testing Monday, Wednesday, and Friday the first week.  Even if you are playing a winter sport, it is

Volleyball - The end-of-the-year volleyball party will be Tues., Nov. 24, at 7 p.m. at the middle school. 
     Juniors and seniors bring a dessert and freshman and sophomores bring a dish to share.

EXCEL Award - Juniors who participate in athletics and/or fine arts activities are encouraged to apply for the
     EXCEL Award.  Application forms and information are available in the main office.  The deadline to apply is
     December 9.
Triple A Award - Seniors who are involved in athletics and fine arts activities are encouraged to apply for the
     Triple A Award.  Applications and information are available in the main office.  Section winners receive a 4-year
     $1000 college scholarship.  The deadline to apply is January 5.
Gymnastics - WHS gymnastics are required to attend the ImPACT concussion training on Thursday,
     November 12, at 2:30pm in the media center.
