Junior Year:
Fall
- Check to make sure you're on track to graduate
- PSAT test in October - be sure you sign up!
- Take career interest inventories
ASVAB in early October - Begin researching careers and colleges that interest you
- Talk with college and military recruiters who are at school - check the guidance office or announcement monitors

- Attend college fairs:
Ridgewater in early October
National Christian College Fair in mid October
National College Fair in late October - Investigate Job Shadow opportunities
Spring
- Consider taking AP exams for college credit
- Register for the April ACT exam by March 4th, 2011
- Start lists of colleges that interest you and criteria for selecting colleges that is important to you
- Begin visiting colleges and planning college visits for the summer
- Plan senior year's courses according to careers and colleges you're interested in
- Set up a summer job to begin/continue saving money for college.
Senior Year:
September/October
- Decide which type of college is best for you
Meet with recruiters - Attend college fairs:
Ridgewater - early October
National College Fair - late October
National Christian College Fair - mid October - Make a list of schools you are considering use pro/con lists
- Register to take/retake the ACT in October, if needed
- Begin visiting colleges
- Ask for letters of recommendation, if needed
- Apply to colleges you're interested in
- Begin/continue researching scholarships
November/December
- Continue college visits and applications
- Register for the December ACT test, as needed
- Complete Admissions applications by their deadlines - usually mid December
January/February
- FAFSA
File taxes early in January to prepare for the FAFSA
Late January - attend financial Aid meeting at the Senior High
March/April
- Notify schools of your decision
- Continue scholarship search
May
- Maintain contact with school of choice regarding housing, etc
- Enjoy what's left of your senior year
