Greenhouse Project

The Willmar Community Greenhouse is a project begun by the Willmar Senior High School Youth Energy Summit Team in 2007. The main goal was to collaborate with community groups and businesses for the purpose of decreasing fossil fuel consumption by growing local produce year round. This project demonstrates the energy saving and health benefits of growing produce at the local level. Produce is purchased by the school district food service, private individuals, and businesses as well as donated to the local food shelf.
Support the Willmar Community Greenhouse and Youth Energy Summit Team and eat fresh produce or give it as a gift.  Click on this link for a Produce Shares Registration form.
For more information about our project, read the attachments or visit any of the links below.  We also have a group, Willmar Community Greenhouse, on facebook and have a calendar available online.
