Message from the Activities Director
Welcome to the Willmar High School Interscholastic Athletic Program. We encourage multi-sport participation and we’re continually striving to provide an exciting challenge for our students in a competitive learning environment. That environment includes a strong commitment on the part of the student to enhance school pride, self-esteem, and sportsmanship. I encourage all of our extra-curricular participants to pursue individual goals to help each of the Cardinal teams be as successful as possible and to make the most of their high school years. Athletic Program Information
The Willmar High School Athletic Program is designed to further enrich our students’ education experience through active participation in a wide variety of offerings that includes twenty-two varsity sports. The Willmar Cardinals are a proud charter member of the Central Lakes Conference. The CLC includes some of the finest athletics in out state Minnesota. Schools that participate in the CLC are Alexandria, St. Cloud Tech, St. Cloud Apollo, Sartell-St. Stephen, Little Falls, Brainerd, Rocori, Sauk Rapids-Rice, Fergus Falls and Willmar.
