The Willmar High School supermileage team took First Place in the stock category at Brainerd International raceway May 14-15, 2012. There were about 50 cars in the stock category and about 104 cars at the competition.
 

Willmar language students’ spring trips: In Spain, riots; in China, climbing the Great Wall

WILLMAR — A little education in European economics and politics greeted 27 Willmar students who went to Spain on their spring break trip this year.

A general transportation strike and a riot in the street outside their hotel provided memorable experiences and lots of walking.

The public is invited to the high school on Monday, May 21, at 5:00pm to learn about the iPad initiative for next school year.  All juniors and seniors will be assigned an iPad for 2012-2013.  The informational iPad event will be held in the high school theater and last about an hour.  Call the high school for more information - 231-8300.

Willmar High School's FIRST Robotics Team #4239 W.A.R.P.S.P.E.E.D. traveled to the North Star Regional competition held at the Mariucci Arena on the Minneapolis campus of the University of Minnesota. The three day event, held March 29-31, paired over 60 robotic teams in nine qualifying rounds with alliances of three teams each competing in a game called "Rebound Rumble".
