  • Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA)
The Minnesota Department of Education requires schools to test students in reading, math and science starting in 3rd grade.  Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) tests will be given during the month of April.  The MCA test helps districts measure student achievement toward MN academic standards.
The MCA reading test is administered to grades 3-8 and grade 10
The MCA math test is administered to grades 3-8 and grade 11
The MCA science test is administered to grades 5, 8, and to high school students after they have completed a biology course.
There is no test for social studies.
If you have questions please contact your child's teacher.
