Hello! My name is Travis Michelson and this is my 5th year teaching music in Willmar. Since I started teaching in Willmar, I have taught 9-12 Choir, Middle School Band lessons, K-5 Elementary Music, AP Music Theory and 5th & 6th Grade Choirs. I am glad to be teaching at Kennedy this year!
Born and raised in Willmar, I always thought I wanted to come home and be a teacher. I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in ’07 and have been in Willmar ever since. Some of my extra-curricular activities include: HS Student Council Advisor, HS Yearbook Advisor, HS Musical Director and MS Track and Field Coach.
My wife, Kari, and I live on “the farm” with our yellow lab, Raymond.
I am proud to be a member of this talented team of teachers and look forward to teaching many more years in the Willmar district!
