Truth In Taxation

Minnesota's Truth in Taxation Law requires school districts, cities and counties to provide a "Truth in Taxation" public hearing (including a specific public notice) before adopting a tax levy for the following year.  This hearing is normally held in late November or early December.  This hearing includes a presentation about the current budget and proposed tax levies.

WPS Teachers at NASA Ames

Four WPS science teachers were
selected for a NASA Simulation-Based
Aerospace Engineering Insternship.
The goal is for science teachers to inspire
students to investigate STEM careers
(Science Technology Engineering Math).
  
The internship took place at the
NASA Ames research facility near
San Francisco, CA.
