Kennedy Elementary was established in 1994 and is located in the heart of the city of Willmar. Kennedy is a public school serving approximately 960 students from all-day-every-day kindergarten through the 5th grade with 75 full or part-time teaching staff striving to maintain a safe, supportive, and student-centered climate. Kennedy is filled with wonderful kids with supportive parents and a committed staff working together to help each child develop to his/her full potential.
Achievement
Kennedy has maintained a tradition of excellence and high expectations by helping all children gain measurable skills as they move through grades K-12 on their way to a successful life in college and their career. One of the keys to our success has been the diligence and teamwork of our staff as they have differentiated instruction to meet the needs of each student at his/her level. In creative ways, students are encouraged to explore and develop their special interests and talents. One of the other keys is our volunteer support from parents and the community. Our volunteers serve countless hours annually assisting our students and staff through a variety of opportunities.
