Welcome to Willmar Public Schools! We are excited that you will be partnering with us in your student’s education. One Information Form and Health Questionnaire is needed for each child.  An ELL Form is needed only if Home Language is other than English.

Requirement of registration: being accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Necessary items for the registration process:

 

  • Address and phone number of residency
  • Immunization records
  • Birth certificate
  • Address and phone number of previous school attended
  • English Language Learner will be assessed if applicable

 

The registration process includes:

 

  • Identification picture is taken.
  • Bus information is available.
  • Free and Reduced Meal Application is available (Application for Educational Benefits).
  • School lunch information is provided.
  • Money can be given for school meal accounts. Each child will have an individual account.
  • Pin number will be provided for our food service program.
  • Parent Portal applications can be filled out for easy viewing of your student’s information, including individual meal account balances.
  • Automatic withdrawal forms are available for a carefree solution to meal account balances.

 

After registering, parents will be contacted by a building principal or secretary to:

 

  • Provide information about the school your child will be attending
  • Schedule a new student orientation (typically the day following registration)
  • Schedule the first day of school (within 1-2 days of registering your student)

 

Open Enrollment Forms: If you are a non-resident family and wish to have your child attend school in our district, you will need to fill out an open enrollment form. Transportation for open enrolled students is the responsibility of the family. Link to the Open Enrollment Form.

selected for a NASA Simulation-Based
Aerospace Engineering Insternship
.
The goal is for science teachers to inspire
students to investigate STEM careers
(Science Technology Engineering Math).
  
The internship took place at the
NASA Ames research facility near
San Francisco, CA.
