Summer School
SUMMER SCHOOL
The ALC offers independent study classes for eight weeks each summer. These classes are available to students in grades 9 through 12. Students generally attend one 90 minute class period once per week for each credit in which they are enrolled. Students that attend each class session and complete all assigned homework can usually earn a quarter credit for that class. Credits not completed during the summer session can be completed in the fall.
Summer School for students below grade 9 are available through a Targeted Services program in the Willmar District. Students can attend the Targeted Services program if they meet the eligibility criteria for attending an ALC.
Targeted Services students attend school every morning five days a week for four weeks.
Anyone interested in the Independent Study option or the Targeted Services option should contact the ALC Program Coordinator, Jamie Thompson, at 320-214-6692.
